Jumper v2026.02.25 has been released for macOS and Windows - and it's a pretty big one! 🥳

Also, the amazing Iain Anderson has just released an article title Visual search tools compared on ProVideo Coalition.

Iain did some very detailed testing:

...and concludes:

Overall, as you can see from the chart above, Jumper gave me the most consistently good results. Premiere came second, but has a few UI niggles that make its results harder to use. Final Cut Pro and Peakto can definitely find clips on most of the searches I tried, but they fell short more than I’d like.

Make sure you read the full article on ProVideo Coalition as it's a great read.

If you need the very best visual search directly in your video editing software, or as a desktop application - you can't go past Jumper!

The latest Jumper v2026.02.25 release includes:

New Features:

  • AI Agent support: Jumper can now be controlled by AI assistants like Claude or Codex. You can read more in the documentation.
  • Added a new more accurate and faster speech model for English. Does frame-accurate transcription of a 2h+ podcast in 1.5 minutes.
  • Public API: Added a local Public API for third-party integrations. You can read more in the API reference.
  • Global speech searches. Like you could already do for visual searches, you can now use speech searches across all analysed media, not just the media in your current project.
  • Added CSV export for search results in Standalone mode.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro v26 support.
  • Added drag-and-drop support in macOS and Windows for adding media in the standalone app.
  • Added a splash screen when starting Jumper on Windows.

Improvements:

  • Media Panel checkboxes are disabled while analysis is running to prevent accidental selection changes.
  • Added pagination to improve load times in the People Panel for large collections. Thanks, recfocus and Claudio Domenicali!
  • Added duplicate name checks when creating face collections.
  • Premiere Pro UI: Fixed issues with dialog windows being off.

Bug Fixes:

  • Searches no longer fail silently when cache files are deleted or moved. Thanks for reporting Youssef Toufik!
  • Fixed drop-frame timecode issues that caused incorrect results or errors in speech/transcript searches.
  • Fixed an issue where naming face clusters could fail or produce mismatched results. Thanks, Claudio Domenicali!
