evrExpanse v6.1.0
Adds Finder Tag Support for Final Cut Pro.
The metadata-focused workflow app evrExpanse has just released version 6.1.0, expanding its Apply Finder Tags feature with full Final Cut Pro integration.
With this update, editors can now automatically apply Finder Tags directly from Final Cut Pro Keywords using FCPXML Library or Event exports. This builds on the existing DaVinci Resolve integration, completing a seamless round trip between NLE metadata and macOS Finder organization.
What’s New
- Final Cut Pro Integration — Apply Finder Tags from FCP Keywords via FCPXML exports.
- Duplicate Handling — A new “Include Duplicate Files” option in Preferences gives editors control to skip or include duplicates.
- Detailed Progress Window — Now includes missing file detection and clear reporting.
Why Use evrExpanse to Tag Files in macOS?
Unlike simpler tagging utilities that only append tags, evrExpanse gives editors full flexibility:
- Batch-add, replace, or remove Finder Tags (including macOS color labels)
- Skip or include duplicates depending on workflow needs
- Detect missing files with clear progress reports
- Remove tags applied from metadata exports without wiping all tags
- Seamlessly bridge metadata between Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and macOS Finder
More Than Finder Tags
evrExpanse remains a complete workflow suite for media professionals:
- 🏷️ Extract and import video metadata into NLEs
- 🔄 Transcode and embed rich metadata
- 📤 Automate secure backups and transfers
- 📌 And now: Organize everything with Finder Tags across both Resolve and Final Cut Pro
