## April

### [4th April 2026](/news/20260404)

For anyone interested in on-device transcription, **ScriptStar v1.5.0 (Build 23)** is now available for testing on **TestFlight**.

You can find TestFlight links to all of LateNite's products over on the [FCP Cafe Discord](https://ltnt.tv/discord).

This is really the best place to chat to other Final Cut Pro gurus.

There's some cool changes to **Keyframe Toolbox** hitting TestFlight VERY soon!

Whilst the FCP Creative Summit looks like it might have quietly disappeared, NAB is going full stream ahead!

Steve, Mark, Jenn & Dylan are four of the nicest, kindest, smartest and most attractive experts in the Final Cut Pro community, and such great presenters!

If you're heading to NAB, I would HIGHLY recommend heading to **Post|Production World**.

Sadly, I won't be making the trek to NAB this year - both for cost and safety reasons, given the current state of the world.

I'm ASSUMING this is similar reasons why the **FCP Creative Summit** has been delayed or cancelled all-together.

Based on the years that I've been, a large portion of the FCP Creative Summit attendees and presenters were from overseas, and I think travelling anywhere, let alone the USA in the current climate is a lot more challenging than it was a year ago.

I also think, with Apple's recent MotionVFX acquisition, the Apple team probably isn't entirely sure of timelines for product releases - it's probably all still an evolving work-in-progress.

I do however expect to see SOME kind of announcement about Final Cut Pro and MotionVFX at NAB - what exactly I have no idea.

As I've written on FCP Cafe, I would be REALLY surprised if Apple just add all of MotionVFX's collection to Apple Creator Studio.

It's POSSIBLE they might just move all the **MotionVFX DesignStudio** elements to Apple Creator Studio:

It'll be interesting to see if they keep **mExtension** or if they just include all the Motion Templates as optional downloads in the Effects/Transitions/Titles/Generator Browsers, like they currently do on both Mac and iPad.

Either way, NAB will be interesting times!
